September 26, 2016: Survey results on Asian Pacific American Local Government Professionals released at ICMA Conference 2016

ICMA conducted this survey at the request of several members who were interested in exploring the need for and interest in building a professional network of Asian Pacific American local government professionals. Ed Shikada, Reyna Farrales, and Rey Arellano, among others, worked with ICMA to develop the approach and survey questions. The survey went to ICMA members who are Asian Pacific and to members who serve a community with a significant Asian Pacific American population. The survey identified the following priorities among the respondents: networking events, coaching and mentoring, and resources to help us tackle workplace impediments to diversity, in particular, issues that impact the Asian Pacific American community. This survey has shaped I-NAPA efforts in our first few years of existence. Click here for the survey report.
