I-NAPA Announces Change in Organization’s Name

On December 6, 2024, the I-NAPA Board approved a significant change by adding “Pacific Islander” to the organization’s name. Moving forward, it will be known as the “International Network of Asian Pacific Islander Public Administrators.” While the organization’s acronym remains the same, this change in its name reflects the organization’s commitment to staying true to its slogan, “Inspiring Inclusion.” Efforts are now underway to notify members, partners, and sponsors. Updates to branding and materials will occur in the coming months.

This decision marks a pivotal moment in I-NAPA’s history. By explicitly including Pacific Islanders, it ensures their unique identities, contributions, and challenges are recognized and represented. This change also reaffirms the organization’s commitment to equity by addressing the shared and distinct experiences of both Asian and Pacific Islander communities within the public administration field.
